The Product and Technology Group at Hearst magazines sought to establish stronger, more enduring digital relationships with their customers. Their vision centered on building brand loyalty and engagement through personalized experiences that would captivate both existing customers and new subscribers. The ultimate goal was to create more monetizable experiences that delivered increased value to customers and the business alike, with key focus areas including registration and subscription growth, extended time spent on page, repeat visits, affiliate expansion, and advertising inventory optimization.

I collaborated with Hearst Magazines to evolve the user experience and develop new features that would meet and exceed user expectations through a mobile-first approach. Our comprehensive solution encompassed smooth article-to-article flows, fluid user interactions, optimized visual hierarchy, improved navigation, dynamic subscription offers, and contextual discovery across Hearst’s entire brand portfolio. The project culminated in detailed conceptual prototypes, a clear vision narrative, and a global roadshow presented to offices worldwide.
